The Coordinates of Panchagarh is 26.25°N 88.50°E, it is situated in Bangladesh, the District of Panchaghar city is Panchagarh district, and the Division of Panchagarh is Rangpur District.
 
Panchagarh means five forts and they are Bhitar Garh, Hosain Garh, Mir Garh, Rajan Garh and Deven Garh. Panchagarh is situated in Rangpur division and it is about 400 Km from the capital Dhaka via Panchagarh-Banglabandha Highway. It is situated at the northern part of Bangladesh. The area of Panchagarh is near about 1404.62 Km². It is bounded by India from three sides. In north Darjeeling, in northeast side there is Jalpaiguri and Cooch Behar and in west side there are west Dinajpur and Purnea and in the south side there is Dinajpur and Thakurgaon and on the east there is Nilphamari district. There are 16 rivers in Panchagarh, but the main rivers are Karatoya, Atrai, Tista, Mahananda, Tangon, Bhulli, Talma, Kurum, Versa, Tirnoi etc. and many people lives by depending on those rivers. There are lots of beautiful places in Panchagarh. Some of them are natural and some of them are archeological.

The main tourist spots and places of Pachagarh are:
Atwari: 
Atwari is an archeological tourism spot. Atwari is an Upazila of Panchagarh. There are three domed mosquewhich bears the relics of Mughal architecture. The mosques are at Mirzapur, Chhaprajhar (Paharbhanga) andSardarpara. The mosques are known as Mirzapur Jamei Mosque, Chaprajhar Mosque, Solthori Mosque, Shordarpara Mosque. There is also a zamindarbari of Aloakhoa in Panchagarh and also majar which is known as Bara Awliyar Majar (shrine of 12 Awliya)
Tetulia: 
Tetulia is another traveling or tourism spot of Panchagarh and it is also an Upazila of Panchagarh. Tetulia is mainly famous for its natural beauty. About Tetulia the most important fact is it’s hospitality to the tourists. It is situated at the bank of the Mahananda River. There is a dakbunglow in bank of this river. It is a beautifulplace for traveling. Mahananda River has been facing form Darjeeling which is one of the most charming cities of India. If anyone travels to Tetulia at the time of July to August they can observe the beautiful scene of “Kanchenjunga” which is in Darjeeling. One can have clear view of Kanchenjunga at that time. Another important fact of Tetulia is the tea estates. Tea of Tetulia is similar to the tea of Darjeeling. There is a tea garden named “Kazi & Kazi”which is the first flat tea garden of Bangladesh. Banglabandha:

Banglabandha is situated at 57 km north of the Panchagarh town. Banglabandha is especially famous for port because Banglabandha has one of the largest land ports in Bangladesh. It is established to provide a trade link with India, Nepal and Bhutan. Tourists are interested to travel Darjeeling, one of the most attractive tourist places of India, Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal and Bhutan would prefer to travel through this route after establishing immigration facilities at this land port because Banglabandha is about only7 km from Siliguri and Jalpaiguri, in the Indian state of West Bengal and only 58 km away Darjeeling, about 68 Km from Bhutan and about61 Km from Nepal. Banglabandha Zero point is also a popular tourism spot.
Bhitorgarh Maharazas Pond in Bhitorgarh: 
Maharazas Pond is situated at about 10 miles away from Amarkhana Union. It is popularly known as MaharajarDighi. It is really beautiful during rain. Probably the Maharaja (king) of Bhitargarh dug the pond for supplying sweet water inside Bhitargarh. Local people said that, the surface of the pond is 800 yard and the depth is about 40 feet. It is said that the king attacked by a lower class and suicide with family and wealth by jumping in this lake. The environment of this pond is very beautiful and the area is surrounded by green trees which is very attractive to the tourists.
Panchagarh Rocks Museum: 
Panchagarh Rocks Museum is situated at Panchagarh Government Mohila College, which is establish in 1997 by the assists of principal of this college and it is recognized as the 1st rock museum in Bangladesh. The museum is divided into two parts and they are external and internal. The external part consists of a wide area and a vast number of rocks are exhibited here. In the internal gallery small stones of different ages are exhibited.The museum consists of various collections of rocks like Petrified Wood and Fossilized Rocks, Granite, Quartzite Shell, Lime Stone, Sist, Hard Rock, Basalt, Silica, Nice, Clay-Rock etc. and the size of the rocks are 3-4 inches to 10 feet. This museum is very attractive to the tourists.
Debiganj: 
Debiganj is one of third largest Upazila of Panchagarh district. It stands on the eastern bank of the Karatoya River. The tourism spots of Debiganj are the Revenue office building and old residential of the raja of Kuch-Bihar is famous and Jagabandhu Thakur-bariconsists of a Hindu Temple which is situated at Karatoya Setu Road, Debiganj is another place of interest for the tourists. The town also has one Dakbungalow (Rest house) too.
Govindaji Mandir (Temple) and Shibmandir in Baliadangi: 
Govindaji Mandir (Temple) is situated in the bay of the Tangon River; Raja Gobinda Narayan Thakur was built a temple in near 1707 which is known as Gobindojiu temple. This temple consists of the golden statue of Radha-krishno which is very attractive to the tourists. Though Baliadangi is a Upazila of Thakurgaon district it is very close to Panchagarh district. A 400 years old temple is situated at 8 Km north-south side of Baliadangi known as ShibMandir (Temple). The height of this temple was 30 feet but is has reduces its height due to subside. This place is another tourist spotespecially for the Hindus.

Debiganj Korthoa Bridge and Cheparajhara Paharabhanga mosque (400 years old):
Debiganj Korthoa Bridge is another beautiful traveling place of Panchagarh. The bridge is situated in debiganj. Every year lots of travelers travel this place. When you will travel this spot you will observe the beauty of nature of Pangahgarh. This is really a very beautiful and attractive spot to the tourist. Now the other beautiful traveling place named Cheparajhara Paharabhanga mosque. It is a historical traveling spot of Panchagarh. It was build before 400 years ago in Panchagarh. MirzapurShahi Mosque (400 Years old): 
Mirzapur Shahi Mosque is a 400 (Four hundred) years old mosque situated at Mirjapur which is about 6 Km away from Atwary via Panchagharh-Atwary road. The actual building date of this mosque do not known to anyone but in the eastern wall of the mosque records its repair and renovation by Shaikh Malikuddin in 1831. There have two old graves to the south of the mosque and to its northeastern corner stands an old well. The mosque has three domes and a courtyard. The court is surrounded by a boundary wall. There consists a beautiful Chau-chalaroofed gate-way room which is situated at the middle of the eastern side used to enter the courtyard. The mosque is rectangular and it has three arch ways in the east side and arched windows on the both south and north walls. This mosque is also an attractive tourists spot

Biggest Mango tree of Bangladesh in Thakurgaon and Golokdham Mandir (Temple): 
The largest Mango tree of Bangladesh is situated at Harinmari, Baliadangi, Thakurgaon, Bangladesh. It is locally known as “Shurjopuri Aam Gachh (Mango tree)”.It has huge number of branches and that’s why it looks like a mango garden. The large tree is covered about 2.5 Bighas of land. Many tourists gathered here to visit this largest mango tree. Golokdham Mandir is situated at Saldanga village of Debiganj Upazila in Panchagarh district which is about 12 km away from Debiganj. The temple was established in 1846.The excellent architectural view is an example of eighteen century. The area of this temple is very beautiful green and cool which attracts the tourists very much.

Transport and communication system & accommodation places:
By road is the only way to go Panchagarh from the capital Dhaka. One can go by bus or train. The buses are Hanif, Shyamoli, Dipjol, Bablu etc. rents may be 550 to 650 depending on bus and it is about 08 (Eight) hours journey from the capital Dhaka (Depending on the road condition and weather). By train will be a long process to go there Kamalapur Railway Station, Dhaka. If you have a private car it will be the perfect solution for your comfortable journey. After arriving in Panchagarh you can go other traveling place by local bus. There are lots of local buses here. By these local buses you can go Tetulia and Banglabandha. There are lots of auto rickshaws and rickshaws and CNG you will find in Tetulia and Banglabandha. There are lots of hotels in Panchagarh shadar. The hotels are Mouchak Residential Hotel (Address: Beside Panchagarh Land Office), Hilton Boarding (Address: Panchagarh Bazar), Central Guest House (Address: Chinema Road), Islam Residential Hotel (Address: Panchagarh Bazar), Alam Residential Boarding (Address: Fakirgonj Bazar, Atowari, Panchagarh) etc. These maximum are in the main city of Panchagarh.

Tetulia also known as "The City of Dream" or "স্বপ্নের শহর" (Bengaliতেতুলিয়া) is an Upazila of Panchagarh District in the Division of RangpurBangladesh

Tetulia has great hospitality for tourists. It has a "Dak Banglo" situated on the bank of river Mahananda facing Darjeeling, a charming ice city of India. Tea of Tetulia has same quality like tea of Darjeeling. The "Kazi & Kazi" tea garden, the "Tetulia Tea" garden, the Banglabandha land port are the attractive places for the visitors.

Remnants of a fort at a place named Buraburi between Bhajanpur and Tetulia. Also Bhadreswar temple and Shiva-temple are the two tombstones of the Greek sculptural.It has Bhadreswar Temple, Vitorgarh.

As of the 1991 Bangladesh census, Tetulia has a population of 86760. Males constitute 51.52% of the population, and females 48.48%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 42021. Tetulia has an average literacy rate of 25.5% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate.[2]

Tetulia has 7 Unions, 36 Mauzas/Mahallas, and 242 villages. The post code of Tetulia is 5030.
Economy
The cultivation of tea, orange and pineapple is abundant in Tetulia. It is located on the Indian border with Darjeeling. A group name Kazi & Kazi has already introduced tea planting.Now, Lot of tea gardens are established on plain land.Stone business is also flourishing here.

Promila Volleyball Tournament' begins in Panchagarh

RANGPUR, July 21, 2015 (BSS) - The two-day 'Promila Volleyball Tournament-2015', being organised by District Women Sports Association (DWSA), began at Sirajul Islam Stadium in Panchagarh district town from today.

President of Panchagarh DWSA Mrs. Fahmida Khanom, also wife of the Deputy Commissioner of Panchagarh, formally inaugurated the tournament at a colourful ceremony as the chief guest.

Six upazila level female volleyball teams of Sadar Upazila Sports
Association, Boda Upazila Sports Association, Tentulia Upazila Sports
Association, Tentulia Upazila Women Sports Association, Atoari Upazila Sports Association and Debiganj Upazila Sports Association in the district are taking part in the tournament.

General Secretary of Panchagarh DWSA Rezia Islam in the chair, Additional District Magistrate Golam Mohammad Azam, General Secretary of Panchagarh District Sports Association Shaikhul Islam, Tentulia Upazila Chairman Rezaul Karim and Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Laila Muntejari Deena attended the ceremony as the special guests.

After inaugurating the tournament by releasing balloons, the chief guest introduced herself with the female volleyball players before the first match between Sadar Upazila Sports Association and Tentulia Upazila Sports Association teams.

Tentulia Upazila Sports Association female volleyball team defeated Panchagarh Sadar Upazila Sports Association female volleyball team by 2-0 sets in the inaugural match of the tournament today.

Panchagarh (Bengaliপঞ্চগড়, Ponchogorh, means five forts) is a district of Rangpur division in the extreme northern part ofBangladesh with an area of 1404.62 square km,[1] is bounded on three sides by 288 km long Indian border, having Darjeelingdistrict on the north, Jalpaiguri and Cooch Behar Districts on the northeast, West Dinajpur District and Purnea district on the west.Dinajpur and Thakurgaon Districts on the south, Nilphamari District on the east. Its soil is sandy, alluvial and bears close affinity with the soil of the old Himalayan basin. On the northern part of the district there exists underground layer of pebbles. It is 150 feet (46 m) high from the sea level. Panchagarh has 16 rivers. Among them some main rivers are Karatoya, Atrai, Tista, Nagor, Mahananda, Tangon, Dahuk, Pathraj, Bhulli, Talma, Chawai, Kurum, Versa, Tirnoi, and Chilka.
